One of my favorite follows is Subpar Museums (and Subpar Parks!). Why? Because you can do most everything right and still miss the mark with some visitors.

In the world of museums, cultural attractions, and retail, this is a vital lesson for any leader. So, what to do when you get those head-scratching reviews?

  • Listen for the signal: Is there a real issue to fix?

  • Filter out the noise: Is the guest simply not your target audience?

  • Protect your team: There is no need to rake staff over the coals for things out of their control.
